Hi, I am Kris, the receptionist who is responsible for scheduling appointments and following up appointments with new and existing patients, and for facilitating the day to day running of the Illawarra Vascular Lab.
For all appointments, please call me at Illawarra Vascular Ultrasound on 4228 8847. We are here to make your appointment process easy, and I am very happy to answer all your questions. Every ultrasound is different so when you call to make an appointment you will be advised if your test requires any special preparations. Please bring along any other imaging results you have had performed elsewhere.
We will tell you the cost of your scan when you make an appointment. To claim a Medicare rebate for your scan please bring a referral from your GP or specialist. There is a small out of pocket fee for scans which patients pay on the day of service, depending on the type of scan. We will then process the claim with Medicare on your behalf. Please note that all gaps contribute to the Medicare Safety Net, which become claimable when the threshold has been reached. Once you have reached the threshold, you will be rebated 80% of your out of pocket expenses. Feel free to check with us if you would like an explanation about this, or have a look at this link.
We adhere to all Covid 19 precautions in a low key way, providing the safest space possible with no fuss or drama.
We offer free on-site parking, friendly staff and accurate and comfortable scans. If you head up the driveway at the side of 363 Crown Street, opposite Convenient Chemist, our spaces are adjacent to the garages, so just drive round the parked cars to enter our signposted parking.
All our ultrasound scans are non invasive, and you will be in very experienced, specialised hands throughout your visit.
